The 1st Symposium on Substance Use and Abuse among
University
Students is organised to set a European landmark in a predominantly American domain so far, as a first step towards the creation of a European network. The principal aim of the symposium is to give a platform to scientists and professionals/practitioners in exchanging research findings and best practices concerning alcohol and other drug use and abuse among
University Students, which special reference to the situation in Europe.
Proposals for papers should address the theme of the conference from any (cross-) disciplinary perspective: epidemiological, psychological, medical, aetiological or social science studies. Papers that address promising new approaches of research or target group-oriented interventions are especially welcome. Professionals/ practitioners are encouraged to send in proposals.

Besides the presentation of papers, the symposium also offer s the opportunity to participate in poster sessions.
